Unichem — four brands, one platform
End-to-end digital strategy and project management for Unichem's complete ecosystem overhaul — Plantella, Effect, Ratimor and corporate unified on a single headless CMS, with an AI gardening assistant and a multi-market social strategy.
Four distinct brands, one fractured infrastructure
Unichem is a Slovenian consumer goods company with four distinct brand identities — Plantella (gardening), Effect (pest control), Ratimor (rodenticides) and the corporate Unichem umbrella. Each had its own site, its own tooling, and its own publishing workflow that had nothing to do with the others.
The brief was ambitious: consolidate everything onto a single headless CMS, preserve each brand's voice and visual identity, add an AI-powered gardening assistant to Plantella, and roll out a structured multi-market social strategy — all without disrupting live sites.
COMMS led the project management and digital strategy end-to-end — scoping, vendor alignment, content architecture, and the AI layer — turning a complex multi-brand overhaul into a structured, deliverable programme.
Six platform capabilities, one unified backbone
One team. One platform. Four brands at full speed.
All four Unichem brand sites are now running on a single headless CMS — editors publish once and each brand's identity is preserved through structured content models and brand-specific presentation layers.
The AI gardening assistant launched on Plantella, answering user questions and guiding product discovery. Multi-market social content rolls out through a shared strategy framework that each market can execute locally without fragmenting the brand.
